Fatal fall for Canadian businessmen
Phil Keeping, 65, a well known Newfoundland and Labrador based entrepreneur, fell six metres to his death last week from a scissor lift at the Harley Davidson dealer in Mount Pearl.
Keeping owned the dealership, but it is not clear why he was up in the scissor lift - a slab electric model - and how he managed to fall from it. The incident occurred on Monday December 9th.
He owned a number of different businesses, but made his fortune when he founded N-1 Cable in Newfoundland and Labrador in the late 1980s, and later moved onto cable television systems in New Brunswick and later the Bahamas.
