First HB-1230s go to California

The first 27 units of Custom Equipment’s new Hy-Brid 1230 have been sold to American Scissor Lift of Stockton, California.

The HB-1230 micro scissor lift was shown as a prototype at the Rental Show earlier this year, and offers a more compact yet larger deck alternative to mast type 12ft vertical lifts. The new units are shipping now and join 62 HB-1030 lifts in American Scissor Lift’s rental fleet. See Rental Show gets off to a busy start

The HB-1230 has a working height of 5.66 metres, a platform capacity of 226kg, is just under 1,4 metres long with extension and weights around 680kg. To see the full specification and how the HB-1230 stacks up click here.

American Scissor Lift has purchased the first 27 Custom HB-1230 micro scissor lifts

American Scissor Lift president Mike Melthratter said: “Our customers use our Hy-Brid Lifts for everything from electrical to drywall to plumbing. They work in congested areas that often have low floor loading requirements, so they need lifts that are light enough and small enough to manouvre around framing and through doorways, but still provide enough platform space and capacity for their tools and materials. Hy-Brid Lifts meet those needs, so contractors generally keep them on jobs from start to finish.”

In spite of its name, American Scissor Lift offers a full range of boom and scissor lifts for sale or rent, along with telehandlers and other lifting equipment from five locations across California. It opened for business in 1995 as Sacramento Scissor Lift, but changed its name as it opened more locations.
