Tony Havercroft to join UpLift

Tony Havercroft has decided to leave Genie after 12 years in various sales roles, and join UpLift, the fast growing access company based in Wakefield.

Havercroft will become the young company’s fourth director and be responsible for overseeing the sales effort, including rental, training and end user equipment sales. His appointment is effective December first.

UpLift recently opened its second branch in Haydock and is likely to be adding a third location sometime in 2006. The company has a rental fleet approaching 400 units and is 24 in the 2005 Cranes&Access top 25 UK/Ireland access rental companies (21st in the UK).

Havercroft has spent at least 25 years in the access industry, working with both sales and rental companies, including Access Rentals and Instant Zip-Up, before joining Genie.
