OGEI moves into Algeria
Spanish mast climber and hoist manufacturer OGEI has appointed Mixtrade as its distributor for Algeria.
The new partnership was launched at the recent Batimatec exhibition in Algiers with the tow companies sharing a stand and show the first OGEI products in Algeria, a 1,500kg mast climber and a 1,000kg cable hoist. The two machines were assembled in a way that could be demonstrated to simulate real construction site situations. The company also assembled and disassembled the two units during the show in order to demonstrate their ease of erection.

OGEI is based in Beasain in the Basque region of Northern Spain and was founded by 20 workers (OGEI means 20 in the Basque language) in 1980 to build concrete mixers and later moved into other construction equipment even trying its hand at building self-erecting tower cranes. Its hoist and mastclimber ranges have done well and the company has been particularly successful in Cuba in recent years.
