The very first photograph posted on Vertikal.net was of Leopold Mayrhofer of Germany’s Ringlift, on March 1st 2001. The 25,000th? A photo of the new Genie Z62/40 that is scheduled to be launched in late June at Apex, posted on May 19th 2014.

This photo count excludes the thousands of additional photos that are contained in the 250 or so magazines that are also hosted on the website.

In those early days of Vertikal.net the pace of on-line news was much slower with just a few reports each week, many of them without photographs. Today we typically average around five or six reports a day with most of them featuring several photographs.

Most of them are now tagged and should be easily accessed via our online news search feature, although there is still some work to be done on the first 10,000 pictures.
