Arrested for dodgy scaffold
A man using a wooden scaffold tower in Amsterdam this week was stopped by police and prevented from using it.
Some passing Vertikal readers spotted the man and the subsequent scene and captured it on camera. The scaffold itself was not the worst we have seen, although clearly set up incorrectly, and the platform was set too high, meaning no components were left to create a guardrail, so the man – a painter - tried to make do with scraps, nails and string. Most dangerous of all is the height for its width, meaning it could easily have gone over onto passing pedestrians.

A painter is questioned about the state of his access equipment
Three passing police officers decided that this was not right and made him climb down and then prepared to march him off. One hopes he was charged for constructing the sloppy tower, however it might also have been using a scaffold on the pavement without a permit??

A closer look at that guardrail
Either way a potential Death Wish merchant was disrupted.
