1,000 JCBs for A-Plant
A-Plant, the UK rental arm of Ashtead, has placed an order with JCB’s dealer Greenshields JCB for more than 1,000 machines in an order worth £35 million.
The order consists of a large number of telescopic handlers along with rough-terrain forklifts, mini and midi excavators, Teletruks and backhoe loaders.
JCB chief executive Graeme Macdonald, said: “This is a highly significant order and the biggest of the year so far for JCB in the UK. The UK market is currently the fastest growing in the world and JCB is on course for its best performance in the UK since 2007 which helps to offset downturns in markets such as Brazil, India and Latin America.”
