Phone a friend

A reader in the UK has sent us a picture of a man using a mobile phone while balancing on a roof truss at height.

The man is seen nonchalantly using his phone with one foot on the stack of trusses and the other on the upright of a scaffold – perhaps he’s stuck and is calling for help?

Although the picture does not give any indication as to the height he is at or the full extent of the hazard, he is already three metres up on the roof trusses and more than likely on the top of a building it’s probably safe to say he would have a long hard fall if he was to slip. Not to mention the possibility of impaling himself on the scaffolding if he did fall!

A second man, unfortunately not fully captured in the picture, looks to be working at a similar height and subjecting himself to the same risks.
