Falcon for highest building in Korea

The 123 storey Lotte World Tower in Seoul - South Korea’s highest building - has taken delivery of a 42 metre TCA Falcon FS420 spider lift.

The FS420 offers a maximum outreach of 17 metres with a 200kg platform capacity. Weighing close to 7,500kg it has an overall length of 8.25 metres and an over overall width of 900mm, depending on optional equipment. It will be used t carry out cleaning and maintenance tasks in the building which has a height of 556 metres.

TCA Lift sales manager Brian Falck Schmidt, said: “The Falcon spider has been delivered, in cooperation with our Korean dealer, for the maintenance personnel of the Lotte World Tower complex. As experienced many times before, the spider lift’s unique jib arm and low ground pressure meant it is able to carry out the tasks which alternative models could not.”
