Loxam to take UK first

Loxam UK has ordered the first three 48 metre Palfinger P480NX truck mounted lifts set for the UK, in an order worth £1 million.

Mounted on two axle 18 tonne MAN TGM 18.290 chassis, the Jumbo Class NX P480s’ four section main boom and double link articulated X-jib offers an outreach of 31.5 metres and a maximum platform capacity of 600kg. Features include 240 degrees jib articulation, platform rotation of 400 degrees (2x200 degrees), up to 13.5 metres of below ground reach and the company’s integrated Powerlift system for lifting glass or cladding panels etc...

Loxam UK managing director Brian Stead, said: "Having bought three Bronto units in 2014 and having received analysis from the Loxam group on the purchase of Ruthmann truck mounts in France, the UK team were ideally placed to buy best in class for our customers needs."

"This truck was not only the most versatile in terms of its integrated powerlift system, lighting and general suitability for film and media for our customers but very importantly for Loxam it sets the highest standards of all round safety for the operators through the innovative truck body design."

Purchased through Palfinger’s UK distributor Skyking, the new units are scheduled for delivery later this year.
