A week for Rental meetings
This week the London Hire show opens its doors on Wednesday and Thursday at the Excel centre, next to London City Airport. The organisers say that the number if exhibitors is up significantly on last year and includes a many more access companies.
While still a small single hall show, it does represent an excellent opportunity to meet the UK tool hire fraternity, which represents an increasing portion of the UK access and light duty lifting market, not to mention the largest sector of the Telescopic handler rental business.
On Tuesday Gerard Deprez of Loxam is hosting the inaugural meeting of the ERA European Rental Association in Brussels. He is hoping to attract all of the 30 to 40 odd companies that have expressed an interest.
An ambitious first year budget of €255,000 has been established which requires an average membership fee of €5,000. Fees for smaller companies will be €2,500; wile larger companies will pay €7,500.
