Liebherr Ehingen reports positve 2005

Liebherr Ehingen has said that 2005 was another strong year, while no details are yet available, the company has said that it shipped 1180 cranes last year.

Sales revenues are well over €900 million, last year Liebherr reported mobile crane sales of €980 million, the majority of which come from Ehingen. So we would expect 2006 revenues to be over a €billion when they are finalised. Although Mobile cranes do include crawler cranes built in Nenzing.

While the Ehingen plant was working close to current capacity, production was limited in 2005 by difficulties in obtaining certain raw materials such as tyres and steel.

Liebherr says that it is expanding its product range and given its strong order book is confident that it will increase its turnover again in 2006. Further details will be released later in the year.
