New Spierings for King

UK crane rental company King Lifting has taken delivery of a new Spierings SK599-AT5 mobile tower crane.

The five axle SK599 can lift 1,900kg at a radius of 50 metres and to a maximum height of 56.3 metres with the jib luffed to 30 degrees. It is also able to lift its maximum capacity of nine tonne to a radius of 12 metres.

Director Tristan King said: “We have been operating a SK599-AT5 for over the past six years which was inherited from the acquisition of ACE cranes (see: King plays an ace). This has given us good experience of operating a crane of this type. The plan is to continue our investment into this type of machine in the forthcoming years.”

Spierings has said it hopes to deliver twice as many mobile tower cranes in the UK this year, having sold five in 2014.
