300t Eurogru for S.Korea
Italian crane manufacturer Eurogru Amici has delivered its largest crane to date - a 300 tonne 300.23 mounted on a five axle Scania commercial chassis.
The new crane was delivered to Daejin Crane of South Korea, and is the third unit for the customer’s fleet, joining a 150.30 delivered in 2008 and a 150.25 in 2012.
The stubby four section 18.64 metre main boom can handle up to 83 tonnes when fully extended and at a radius of five metres. The standard counterweight is 10 tonnes, but this can be increased to 35 tonnes. The overall length of the crane when stowed is under 10 metres.
The winch has a single line pull of 10 tonnes, allowing the crane to lift up to 73 tonnes with the standard boom nose. Heavier loads require special equipment. The slew ring has three sets of rollers and is driven by twin motors and planetary gear sets. The new crane is entirely built from SSAB Weldox 1100 and Weldox 960 high yield steels.
