IPAF up 9.5%
The International Powered Access Federation -IPAF- has published its annual report showing that revenues increased almost 9.5 percent to £4.65 million, while pre-tax profit – or rather ‘surplus’ also increased 9.5 percent to £149,500.
Membership subscriptions increased 12.5 percent to £427,368, while the main source of income- the issue of PAL cards rose nine percent to £3.26 million.
Cash reserves increased 9.5 percent to £530,600, and net assets/members funds improved just over 13 percent to £1.27 million. Non-UK revenues also increased during the year and now makes up 36.8 percent of the total.
Managing director Tim Whiteman said: "2014 was a successful year for your Federation. As in previous years we have been able to make a small,
budgeted surplus, which is invested in safety campaigns and training.
The main campaigns in 2014 focussed on preventing needless deaths caused by electrocution and on the need for pre-use inspections. Both of these campaigns were developed after reviewing the 2013 results of IPAF’s accident reporting data. These campaigns will continue in 2015".
A full set of accounts will be sent to all members – which now total more than 1,109 - up 72 on the year.
The federation’s Annual General Meeting will be held next week in Washington DC, USA.
