New Multitel at Vertikal Days

Multitel is set to launch a new Nissan Cabstar mounted telescopic truck mount with 300kg platform capacity - the MT162 - at Vertikal Days. Available for the last three weeks, the company has already sold 45 units in Germany.

The new Multitel MT162 fully extended

The new unit offers 16.2 metres of working height and has a maximum outreach of 11.5 metres with 230kg capaicty,With the maximum 300kg, the outreach is 10 metres. The new lift has H-frame outriggers front and rear and these can be deployed either with all four outriggers inboard or extended on one or both sides.

With outriggers in-line, the unit still has 6.2 metres of working outreach with 300kg platform capacituy or 10.2 metres with one person in the cage.

The unit is compact

According to Melvyn Else of Multitel’s UK distributor Access Industries: “In transit the unit is very compact, little more than the overall length of a VW Golf. This is the sort of platform that could spark a resurgence in the popularity of straight boom truck mounted platforms in the UK. It is ideal for road side working and a host of inner city jobs where space is at a premium. On narrow jacking this platform still has its full 300kg envelope over the rear of the vehicle for 30 degrees each side of the centre line.”
