New ATs for Floßdorf
German crane and heavy haulage contractor Dietmar Floßdorf has added two new Liebherr All Terrain cranes - an LTM 1100-5.2 and an LTM 1300-6.2.
"The LTM 1300-6.2 is a successful development in terms of its green credentials and efficiency,” said operations manager Stephan Wassmuth. “With the single-engine concept, the chassis engine powers the superstructure via a mechanical shaft making it particularly efficient. Furthermore, the machine requires significantly less maintenance work. The add-on ECOmode program reduces fuel consumption and noise emissions. The single-engine concept sounds convincing and it appears that it will become standard for this size of crane."

The LTM 1300-6.2 will supplement the Floßdorf fleet and provide support to its existing LTM 1350-6.1 for handling and heavy load assembly work as well as service work for wind turbines.
"We already use two LTM 1100-5.2 cranes. It is a compact five-axle model with very good load capacity values." The 100 tonne crane is mainly used for assembling prefabricated concrete components and hoisting for industrial building work.
According to Wassmuth key reasons behind the decision to buy the new cranes was their VarioBase outrigger set up system and compact dimensions. "Liebherr's VarioBase is of enormous benefit for jobs on small sites. Our drivers are absolutely delighted with this technical innovation,” said .
Dietmar Floßdorf currently runs a fleet of 25 Liebherr cranes based in Bad Neuenahr.
