AFI training manager Mark Jones said: “Over 500 people are admitted to hospital every day with a heart attack, and with 15 million men and women in the UK living with cardiovascular disease this is a serious and extremely emotive issue for the workplace. We decided to raise awareness of this by taking part in physical exercise on the day, having some fun by donning fancy dress, whilst raising money for a good cause. We are committed to supporting the well being of our employees and as coronary heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer we felt it was something that we simply cannot ignore.”
