Ainscough opens in Cambridge

Ainscough Crane Hire Ltd, the UK’s largest crane hire company, has opened its 24th depot in Cambridge. The new location is the first all new depot that the company has opened in many years.

The Cambridge branch which will be managed by Bob Harvey is already open for business with mobile cranes of up to 100 tonnes based there. Ian Carradice has been appointed as contract lift manager. The local hire desk can also take bookings for the company’s heavy crane division with mobiles of up to 1,000 tonnes available.

Peter Kernohan, Ainscough’s operations director said, “We are delighted with the opening of our Cambridge operation, strengthening our commitment in East Anglia and the Southern Region, the new depot will fill a much needed gap in our strategically placed UK depot network. Our intention is to make further investment in the area by providing a full range of cranes dedicated to the needs of the client and plans for this are now well underway.”
