Genie boosts sales and service teams
Genie has named Dave Hubbell as vice president national accounts, and appointed four national account managers. Joining four new field service reps that have joined the product support team.
Hubbell has been with the company for almost 33 years, most recently as vice president sales for Caterpillar and Terex dealers in the US and Canada. In his new role he will have responsibility for leading the company’s national accounts sales team, to strengthen its commercial presence through more effective order to delivery account management efforts with the aim to improve market share.

At the same time the company has promoted Paul Smith, Casey Brabham, Joe Broughton and Mitch Carlson to national accounts managers, to support National Account customers in North America, covering all Genie products and services.
Paul Smith will look after and support the company’s Caterpillar distributors, he was previously territory sales manager on the CAT dealer support team.

Casey Brabham will look after the Blueline Rentals account. He joined Genie three years ago from Volvo Rents, which became Blueline Rentals in 2014 Since then he has been regional sales manager in the Southeast, covering Georgia, Northern Alabama and South Carolina.

Joe Broughton will be responsible for the Herc (previously Hertz Equipment) account, he has been with Genie for 10 years and covers parts of the Western region from his base in Reno, Nevada.

Mitch Carlson will look after Sunstate Equipment and Pape Rents. He joined Genie in 2005, nad has worked in a number of roles in inside sales and working with the Caterpillar team, and Pape Rents.

Vice president sales Tom Saxelby said: “Congratulations to Dave, Paul, Casey, Joe and Mitch as they move into these new roles within the Genie North American sales team. As we continue to offer products, services and programs designed to meet the growing needs of our National Accounts customers, our sales force plays an important role in developing and maintaining these relationships. These gentlemen’s unique skill sets and experiences significantly add to, and complement, the wealth of industry expertise and knowledge within our sales team.”
The company also announced the recent appointment of four new field service representatives in North America: Victoria Bergsma, William (Bill) Halfhill, Cory Baiz and Bart Fongers, taking the number of field service technicians to 26.
Bergsma now covers the Ontario, Canada area, Halfhill oversees the Gulf region of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, while Baiz’s territory covers Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri and Arkansas.with Fongers looking after the central Florida region.
