Void overturns boom

Two men suffered minor injuries yesterday in St Louis, Missouri, when the boom lift they were using - an 80ft JLG 800AJ - overturned after one of its wheels punched through the car park surface into an underground void.

Fortunately the boom and platform came to rest against the vacant building, but the two men were stranded in the platform until the emergency services arrived and rescued them.
