SIA appoints training director

The Scaffold Industry Association, the American scaffold and aerial lift association has appointed JoAnn Dankert as its new director of continuing education and training.

JoAnn Dankert

Dankert comes from a long career in occupational safety, having worked in a number of safety positions in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Most recently she worked for the National Safety Council as product development and training manager, and as a senior safety specialist with Rockwell Automation – performing compliance and safety management system audits, as well as instructional design and delivery of safety training.

In her job at the SIA Dankert will be responsible for developing and enhancing new and existing training programs and the introduction of web-based training. The SIA and IPAF singed a collaboration agreement in July last year and have started to work together on the promotion of training and safety while working at height.
