$50 million order for Konecranes
Konecranes has won a $50 million (£27 million) contract to supply Georgia Ports Authority USA, with four ship to shore (STS)container cranes and 15 all-electric rubber tyred gantry (RTG)cranes. Deliveries will start in the spring of 2007 and continue until April 2008.

Konecranes delivers STS cranes and RTG cranes to Georgia Ports Authority
The newly ordered STS cranes can service the largest vessels in the world. To date, Konecranes has delivered 11 STS cranes and 31 RTG cranes to Georgia Ports Authority.
The new Super Post Panamax cranes have a 65 tonne lifting capacity and can handle ships of Post Panamax size or container ships of 22 containers wide. The cranes are capable of using the twinlift technique for highest handling capacity.
The crane structure is based on Konecranes’ new BoxHunter modular design. The outreach of 61 m is designed for the largest container vessels to be built in the near future. The STS-cranes are also equipped with the new generation of Konecranes AC Drive System.
The new 16-wheel all-electric RTGs have a lifting capacity of 50 tons .
