HE Group orders 379 JCB machines
The HE Group has placed an order for 379 new JCB models including telescopic handlers. This takes the total number of JCB machines delivered beyond 2,000 since chairman Hugh Edealanu bought his first second backhoe loader in 1972.
The order includes both 535-125 and 540-170 Loadall telescopic handlers as well as more than 200 mini and midi excavators, 3CX backhoe loaders, Robot 160 skid steer loaders and JS 220 tracked excavators.

HE Services sales and marketing director Pam Durey said: "JCB continues to be a major supplier of our plant and equipment for several key reasons, primarily the excellent working relationship which began over 30 years ago and continues to go from strength to strength."
HE Services was founded by Hugh Edeleanu in 1972 with a second hand Mk1 JCB 3C backhoe loader. Since then, the company has grown into probably the UK's leading excavator plant hire firm - operating from a centralised national hire centre and 11 regional depots - and is also one of the largest providers of excavators in Europe.
HE Services now boasts a plant hire fleet of over 1600. In addition to its significant growth, the business has also diversified, with the development of a service division and the development of Diggerland.
Diggerland now has sites in Kent, County Durham and Devon - with a site in Yorkshire being opened soon - offering rides, static displays and opportunities for both children and adults to drive a range of plant under trained supervision. The Diggerland division has been responsible for the purchase of more than 350 of the 2000 JCB machines purchased.
