CTE UK confirms new GM

CTE UK has confirmed that its managing director Graeme Hill will step down at the end of the year and will be replaced by Craig Rooke, who joined the company a few weeks ago from Falcon.

Prior to his time at Teupen he ran his own sales business - ASX - for three years.

He began his equipment industry career 21 years ago as an account manager with GT Access, moving to JCB in 2006 as a sales engineer with responsibility for telehandlers, before joining Haulotte UK in 2008 as Southern region account manager. He established ASX after leaving Haulotte in 2010.

Graeme Hill (L) welcomes Craig Rooke to CTE UK

Graeme Hill said: “Since coming into the access industry back in 1983, I have met so many interesting people and made some good friends and contacts. It will be sad to say goodbye to my CTE UK team who are a fabulous group of talented individuals who I have worked very closely with. Whilst my departure will be difficult for me personally, I am looking forward to a change of pace.”

“I wish everyone all the very best and welcome Craig to the team. Craig will continue to drive the business, product range and our reputation forward and I wish him all the very best”.

Rooke added: “Graeme has contributed massively not only to establishing the CTE product together with the team here as a market leader in the UK but also to the access industry as a whole. I am sure he will miss the industry hugely but he will also have a fantastic and fun retirement. I’m very humbled to be asked to take over Graeme’s role and I look forward to working closely with our parent company in Italy on developing new products and with the UK team that is extremely experienced and very highly regarded by customers which is testament to them and also to the leadership and guidance of Graeme.”

Marco Govoni, sales director for CTE Italy said: “It is not yet the moment of thanks and greetings, but I just want to underline already that we can only be honoured to have had the leadership of CTE UK a person like Graeme with a great sense of respect and loyalty toward the customer. I am sure that these attributes, in addition to the great sense of belonging to the CTE family, will be inherited by Craig to whom I wish a great future with us.”
