Crane overturn in Brooklyn

A large loader crane overturned onto a construction site in the Midwood area of Brooklyn, New York yesterday,

The site, is a new Synagogue – the Edmund J Safra Synagogue – the crane, a PM articulated model, was apparently lifting large pallets of plywood in to the site, when it went over. The crane appears to have been short rigged?

As the crane went over, the operator was able to jump clear of the tipping truck and crane. The falling load is said to have struck the first floor level of the building, causing substantial damage.
