Andy Studdert to join Cramo board
Finnish international rental group Cramo has announced the appointment of Andy Studdert to its board of directors. He is expected to be confrimed at the Annual General Meeting in late March.
Studdert was most recently chief executive of US rental company NES Rentals from 2004 following its emergence from chapter 11 Bankruptcy in February 2004, through its acquisition in 2006
by private equity firm Diamond Castle Holdingsuntil it was
taken over by United rentals in 2017

He began his career in 1974 as a sales rep for the US department store Sears based in California, he remained with the company for six years, leaving in 1980 to join Bay View Federal Savings as a vice president, in 1984 he moved to a similar role as First Interstate Bancorp , initially working in its consumer marketing division and later its electronic banking and credit card business. In 1987 he joined the First Interstate Bank of Nevada as a senior vice president marketing, joining the board of directors in 1991 when he was appointed as an area president.
In 1995 he moved to United Airlines as chief information officer and then two years later he was appointed as senior vice president of fleet operations with responsibility for all daily airline operations, as well as aircraft and engine maintenance, engineering, safety, environmental oversight, security and quality assurance. In mid 1999 he was promoted to chief operating officer and it was during his tenure that the three aircraft were flown into New York’s World Trade Centre buildings. He left the company towards the end of 2002 to focus on his consulting business Andrew P. Studdert and Associates, which led to his appointment by Diamond Castle Holdings to manage its newly acquired NES Rentals business in 2004.
He also sits on a number of company boards, including: Target Hospitality in Texas, the charity Big Shoulders Foundation and as worked with Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, where he has held the Chair of Business Ethics and Crisis Leadership since 2014.
