Access director for Mawsley

Northamptonshire, UK, based Mawsley Machinery has appointed Vicki Allen as access division director following its acquisition by Manitou last month, see: Manitou acquires UK dealer.

Allen joins from aerial lift dealer AJ Access Platforms where she was southern territory manager, having joined the company as UK sales manager in 2016. She moved to AJ from Genie, where she had been used equipment manager Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia for more than 12 years.

Sam Sanderson, joint managing director of Mawsley said: “When Manitou asked us to take over a large exclusive area of the UK for the Manitou access range, there was only one person we wanted to head this up for us! Vicki Allen, whom I have known for a number of years. She has an excellent and proven reputation within her field and a wealth of knowledge of this industry. She brings onboard some fantastic relationships and a passion for the product that will enable us to hit the ground running and I have every confidence that Vicki will make this expansion of the business a huge success!"

Allen added: “I am thrilled to be joining the team at Mawsley Machinery. Having got to know and love the Manitou equipment during my time in my previous role I am extremely excited to have the opportunity of developing the Mawsley Manitou access platform division, which exclusively covers a large portion of the UK. My experience over the years with market leading platforms and extensive used equipment trading will undoubtedly be of benefit in my new role, especially as we will consider all trade ins against new purchases, to provide customers with a smooth and easy route to purchase.”

Mawsley was established in 1981 to sell the Bomag compaction equipment and Hydrovane compressors. It also handles Yanmar mini excavators, Ammann compaction equipment and Compair compressors as well a range of horticultural and other small equipment. Earlier this year Manitou acquired a majority stake in the company after the company served as a UK dealer for more than 30 years.
