Genie adds to German sales team

Genie has appointed Markus Bandura as its territory sales manager for southern Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Based in his home office between Meersburg and Ravensburg in Baden Württemberg, he will report to Arjen Snijder, sales director strategic accounts for the region.

He will now be responsible for seeking out new market opportunities, supporting new distributors and strengthening relationships with customers in order to further develop the market for Genie products in the region.

He joins the company from John Deere dealer Meyko, where he was its sales manager since joining the firm in 2018. He began his career in 1997, as a product support specialist with for truck manufacturer Stihl sales operation in Dieburg, near Darmstadt. In 2000 he joined John Deere, initially in a product support role, later transferring to the company’s European sales and marketing organisation as a product manager position for utility vehicles and tractors. In this role his responsibilities included product development, strategic planning and the marketing preparations for all US products launched in Europe. He left the company in 2018 for Meyko, shortly after the three outlet dealership was subject to a management buyout from the Trübenbacher family.
