A tree takes another crane

A truck crane overturned yesterday while removing tree limbs from the rear of a house in Woburn, on the north side of Boston Massachusetts.

We have few details of the incident apart from the fact that it had around 33 metres of boom out and appears to have lifted too large of a tree section for the radius. It also looks as if one of the rear outriggers might have subsided a little.

As far as we know there were no serious injuries and damage was largely restricted to the boom truck based crane. Luckily it came down between the buildings, and although it bought down a power line, it could so easily have been much worse.
