20 fire platforms for Poland
Panstwowa Straz Pozarna - the Polish state fire department - has ordered 20 Rosenbauer truck mounted fire platforms.
The order consists of seven 32 metre L32A-XS 3.0s and 13 42 metre L42A-XS 3.0s. Mounted on two axle 15.5 and 18 tonne MAN chassis respectively, both models feature an emergency ladder, 500kg platform capacity rated for up to five people, and remote controlled foam and water pumps. Scheduled for delivery later this year, the new units will be stationed in 14 of 16 districts throughout Poland.
Kurt Wandaller, head of central and eastern Europe at Rosenbauer, said: “With an annual procurement volume of 400 to 500 vehicles, Poland is the largest single market for fire services in eastern Europe. We estimate the sales volume of equipment to be at least 10 to 15 million euros per year. We bring state of the-art firefighting technology to Poland and are incredibly proud that the state fire department has chosen our aerial ladders.”
