COO for Ainscough

Ainscough Crane Hire has appointed Peter Gibbs as chief operating officer, he joins the company from food services supplier Brakes where he has been a director since 2014.

He began his career in 1982 as an officer in the British Army doing his officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and during his time with the army completing an MBA. In 2000, after 18 years with the service he left to join food wholesaler Palmer & Harvey, moving up through the ranks from project management and operational roles to become director of the company’s South Eastern distribution centres. In 2006 he moved TDG Logistics where he was operations director for TDG Ireland joining food distributor GIST in 2008 as commercial director moving to a similar role at Reynolds Catering Supplies a year later, taking up his role at Brakes in 2014.
