Klaas K950PHX for Ken Harrop Crane
UK based Ken Harrop Crane Hire has taken delivery of a new five tonne Klaas K950PHX aluminium crane from UK dealer Kranlyft.
The new crane is mounted on a three axle Iveco Eurocargo chassis and can take is five tonne maximum to a radius of 6.5 metres and a height of 8.5 metres. The four section main boom and four section jib provides a maximum tip height of 44 metres with a capacity of 350kg, which it can take out to 38 metre radius. It can also handle up to a tonne at 26 metres radius.

Ken Harrop Crane Hire’s new Klaas K950PHX
Self-levelling variable extension outriggers with LED lights are standard, along with point to point memory function, slew restriction, extendable ballast weight, wind speed indicator and aircraft warning lights. It is also equipped with a hybrid pack enabling the crane to operate on electric power. Owners Ken and Jack Harrop also opted for the work platform attachment that offers a 200kg platform capacity with a 41 metre working height and 31 metres outreach - at a height of 24 metres - or 120kg with a 33 metre outreach.

Jack Harrop, second generation owner, said: "We are now using the K950PHX for work that we would have previously used our larger All Terrain crane for, while the Klaas is faster on the road with much lower running costs. Once on site it can set up in minutes in the space available and ground loadings are minimal."
