Tadano for Wiemann

German crane rental and heavy haulage company Hubert Wiemann Autokrane has taken delivery of a 45 tonne Demag AC 45 City All Terrain crane.

The AC 45 City has a 31.2 metre main boom plus a 7.1 to 13 metre offsettable extension to offer a maximum tip height of 45 metres. The new crane has been ordered with the Demag E-Pack electric power pack, which provides zero emissions and almost silent operation for work in sensitive environments or job sites in ultra low emission zones. The crane will predominately be used in dense urban areas, with its first job in the warehouse of supermarket chain.

The hand over with E-Pack

Company owner, Martin Wiemann, said: “The new AC 45 City's compact dimensions make it absolutely unbeatable, particularly in urban settings. It is easy to set up and disassemble and being a ‘taxi’ crane, it can take care of multiple jobs in a single day without a problem.”

Wiemann crane operator, Axel Krügel, added: “When it comes to jobs in buildings or pedestrian zones, a lot of customers require a hose to route the exhaust fumes out of the building or area, and this can be both expensive and time consuming. With the E-Pack, that will all be a thing of the past.”
