New VP sales for Morrow

US tower crane and hoist sales and rental company Morrow Equipment has appointed Mike Heacock as vice president of sales.

He joins the company from Manitowoc where he has been vice president of sales for Potain tower cranes in the Americas since February 2012. See: New sales VP for Potain N.America
He is a member of the ASME B30.3 and 30.29 subcommittees, as well as the SC&RA tower crane committee and will join the Morrow executive team at its headquarters in Salem, Oregon.

Michael Heacock

Chief operating officer Peter Juhren said: “We are excited to have Mike join our team and we are looking forward to his contributions to our sales and marketing. Mike has spent his entire career in the tower crane industry, and he will be instrumental in implementing our strategic growth plan going forward. Mike has the respect of the industry and will help shape and lead our sales team into the future”.

Heacock began his working life in 1992 as a shop assistant while studying at the University of Washington, leaving to join the tower crane industry after graduating in 1997, when he joined Sunnen Crane Service in Tacoma, Washington as a tower crane operations manager, after 10 years with the company he moved to Coast Cranes in Seattle as general manager of the company’s tower crane group. After almost 10 years in the role, he left for Manitowoc.
