The UK based division of Sunbelt Rentals has purchased a trial number of Faresin 6.26 Full Electric compact telehandlers.
Sunbelt - previously A-Plant - runs the fourth largest telehandler fleet in the UK with 1,674 units, according to the latest Cranes & Access Top 30 rental company report. The new machines, purchased through UK distributor GGR, are both the first electric and first Faresin machines to enter its fleet.
Sunbelt Rentals sales and marketing director Dave Harris, said: “Our commitment to innovation, especially in the green arena, has led to the purchase of these machines. We have seen that they have been introduced to the market with great effect and are already being requested on major national infrastructure projects.”
“Whilst Italian manufacturer Faresin is a relative newcomer to the construction sector, they have a heritage spanning almost five decades. The partnership with GGR group gives confidence in the level of support that we should expect with this product. It is reassuring to know that their eye for innovation is supporting the introduction of this product to the market.”
The Faresin Full electric 6.26 is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack, a fast-charging system and is said to be good for six hours use with the standard 300Ah battery, with a rapid recharge time of 1.5 hours from zero with the external fast charger. A larger battery pack option is also available. See: GGR takes on Faresin for more product detail.
