German crane rental and heavy haulage company Dietmar Flossdorf has taken delivery of a 650 tonne Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 All Terrain crane to replace its 500 tonne LTM 1500-8.1 purchased in 2017 - see: 500t Liebherr for Dietmar Flossdorf.
The eight axle LTM 1650-8.1 has been supplied with both the 54 and 80 metre telescopic booms as well as a 21 to 91 metre luffing jib and Y-guying system. Features include Liebherr’s VarioBase and VarioBallast systems, while it can also travel within 12 tonne axle loads.
Dietmar Flossdorf's company secretary, Stephan Wassmuth, said: “The LTM 1500-8.1 was our most successful venture into the world of large cranes, but is no longer sufficient for many projects. We are therefore replacing it with the LTM 1650-8.1. It offers us a wide range of applications for hoisting heavy loads, transferring goods to barges, assembling concrete components, carrying out service activities on wind turbines, and in industrial activities such as lifting components into plants using a long luffing jib.”
Established in 1953, Flossdorf runs a fleet All Terrain, mobile tower and loader cranes with capacities ranging from 30 to 650 tonnes from its location in Bad Neuenahr, west Germany. It also offer a heavy transport, towing and recovery services alongside a number of truck and trailer platforms.
