CEO change at Raimondi

Italian tower crane manufacturer Raimondi has appointed Diego Borgna as acting chief executive, replacing Domenico Ciano who is taking a one year sabbatical.

Borgna joined the company as deputy managing director in March after 21 years with Potain/Manitowoc and two years as a consultant - see: Deputy MD for Raimondi.

Ciano has been chief executive since mid 2019, having joined the company as technical director in 2014.

Speaking of his new role he said: “Of utmost importance to Raimondi is the valued relationship the company has with our official agent roster, in tandem with ensuring satisfaction for our clients from all over the world. My work since March has overlapped a great deal with the commercial team as we planned our expansion and next steps. This interdepartmental collaboration will serve the company well taken in context together with my appointment as acting chief executive.”

Ciano added: “I am now completely disengaged from the company’s day to day operations, as well as high level decision making effective immediately. I express my thanks to the board of directors for their understanding and support during this time. I extend my best wishes to Diego Borgna for the coming 12 months, and I hope to see Raimondi continue to go from strength to strength under his tenure.”

Raimondi’s board of directors issued a statement says that it “strongly supports his decision to embark on the one year sabbatical, laud his commitment to his personal goals of health and wellness.”
