Stirnimann moves into Denmark
Potain has appointed Swiss sales and rental company Stirnimann as distributor for Denmark, the Faroe Islands and Greenland. The appointment takes effect in January, however Stirnimann has established a Danish company Stirnimann A/S, and is looking to recruit staff for both a sales and rental operation. It hopes to conclude the acquisition of a location for the new company in the next few weeks.
Based in Olten, Switzerland, Stirnimann has been the Potain distributor in Switzerland since 1986, adding Austria in 2015 – see:
Stirnimann takes on Austria. It will offer the manufacturer’s top slewing and self-erecting cranes for sale and rental, while providing, parts, service, installation and other after sales services.
Christophe Simoncelli, senior vice president of Potain cranes in Europe, said: “We are delighted to announce Stirnimann as our exclusive Potain dealer in Denmark. The extensive history of our relationship with Stirnimann has seen many successes and we have developed an excellent partnership. We are convinced that this is a very good opportunity for both companies. The combination of its experience and advanced Potain products positions us well to further develop our presence in the Danish market.”
