Foster to offer Sany crawlers

UCM Sany Cranes - the master distributor of Palfinger Sany cranes in Europe - has appointed UK sales company Foster Cranes as a distributor for its telescopic crawler cranes. Foster says that it also has plans to offer the full range of Sany lattice boom crawlers in the near future.

Working in co-operation with UCM in the Netherlands, Foster will be responsible for the sales, service, support and spare parts for the company’s four model range of Stage V telescopic crawlers throughout the UK and Ireland. The models currently available include the 25 tonne SCE250TB, 40 tonne SCE400TB, 60 tonne SCE600TB and 80 tonne SCE800TB.

Foster Cranes is to offer Sany telescopic crawlers in the UK

To kick off the partnership, Foster has taken delivery of an SCE800TB and SCE600TB - the later scheduled to make its first appearance at Vertikal Days later this month. The SCE600TB features a five section 46 metre main boom plus a 9.2 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, offsetable by 15 and 30 degrees, while offering a maximum 62 metre tip height.

The SCE800TB features a metre more main boom and a longer, 10.2 to 17.5 extension - again offsetable by 15 or 30 degrees - for a maximum tip height of 64.5 metres. Total weight of the SCE800TB is 87.7 tonnes, while the SCE600TB comes in at 64.9 tonnes. All models in the range feature Cummins engines, Rexroth Hydraulics and utilise CAN-bus technology.

The company will also look to introduce lattice crawler models in the near future

We have sold a number of used telescopic crawler cranes in last few years and have really seen the value of them to our customers. We were very impressed with the quality of the Sany product and coupled with the involvement of UCM it made it an easy decision to get involved with the Sany Palfinger project.”

Based in Kidderminster, Foster Cranes is also the distributor for Hoeflon spider cranes and JMG pick & carry cranes and boasts one of the largest inventories of used cranes in the UK.
