UK training company Operator Training Services (OTS) has taken delivery of an 11.5ft ELS EL5.5 Junior SP scissor lift painted in a special union jack livery.
The self-propelled EL5.5 offers a working height of 5.5 metres with a platform capacity of 240kg. Weighing 440kg, it has a stowed height of 1.78 metres and an overall width of 750mm. Features include integrated fork lift pockets, saloon style entry and an audible alarm when the platform is descending.
The machine was auctioned off at Vertikal Days by distributor Alfa Access with £1,000 of the proceedings being donated to a charity of choice. OTS opted for the Air Ambulance Kent, Surrey and Sussex, an independent charity that provides emergency medical care to thousands of people each year throughout the south east of the UK.
Alistair Palacioglu, ELS senior export and business development director, said: “We are delighted to have contributed to a life saving organisation that makes an impact on people’s lives on a daily basis. Many thanks to Ray Whibley and the team at OTS for such a heart warmed selection on charity, and the team at Alfa Access for making it all happen.”
James Skinner of Alfa, added: “Thank you to ELS for supplying the machine in the special Union Jack colour scheme for the Vertikal show 2021. Thank you to Mr Whibley for his winning bid and giving his direction into contributing to such a worthy cause. All the best with your new ELS machine Ray.”
Based locations in Kent and Surrey, OTS specialises in working at height training, offering courses from IPAF, PASMA and the Ladder Association.
