CraneWorks acquires Midwest

US based crane sales, service and rental company CraneWorks is to acquire Midwest Crane Repair of St. Louis, Missouri, from owner Jon Henry.

Established in 2013, Midwest is a leading Grove and National Crane diagnostic and repair specialist in the region. It also offers a full suite of maintenance, diagnostic and repair services for most other makes and models of crane.

The business will be rebranded as CraneWorks St. Louis, once the deal officially closes on January 4th, becoming the company’s ninth location, joining facilities in Hampton, New Jersey; Orlando, Florida; Houston, Odessa and Dallas, Texas; Olathe, Kansas; Denver, Colorado and finally San Diego, California... All staff members and management are expected to transfer to CraneWorks, with continuity a corner stone to the deal.

Jon Henry of Midwest Crane Repair

CraneWorks chief executive Keith Ayers said: “This acquisition represents our commitment to continue to provide best in class service in an expanded territory. For the past several years, we hired and trained some of the best crane technicians in the industry and quickly became known as the go-to provider when our customers need their equipment back up and running. The team at Midwest Crane Repair built a reputation in the region by performing top quality work with the sense of urgency that the crane market demands, making them a perfect fit for the CraneWorks team.”

Jon Henry of Midwest added: “At MCR, we have always tried to go the extra mile for our customers. We understand that downtime at a jobsite can be costly, or worse, damage our relationship with one of our customers. Therefore, we take a personal approach and a vested interest in getting our customers’ equipment back up and running as soon as possible. I see this same theory of operation at CraneWorks. I could not envision a better fit for myself and my team at MCR than to be a part of the CraneWorks family.”

Founded in 2002, CraneWorks has been expanded its products and services to all things lifting, while at the same time expanding geographically through acquisitions.
