Liebherr adds to UK sales team

Liebherr Great Britain has appointed Lyle Sibbald as sales manager for Scotland and Northern England.

Sibbald will be responsible for sales of the mobile crane manufactured at Liebherr, Ehingen including All Terrains, truck mounts and crawler cranes. He joins the company following a two year stint with Sany, during which time he set up the company’s operations in Scotland.

He takes over from Brian Lang who is retiring after almost nine years with the company having joined Liebherr in 2013 following almost nine years with Terex Cranes UK.

Brian Lang

Sibbald began his career in 2008 when he joined Terex Trucks' marketing department. Two years later he was promoted to marketing manager for developing markets, becoming global marketing manager for off highway dump trucks in 2013.
In 2015 he transferred to TDL the distributor for Terex Construction, Genie telehandlers and Sany excavators.
18 months later he moved to Terex Cranes, as regional sales manager for Scotland and Ireland. In 2019 this took him to Tadano after it acquired the Terex/Demag business. He joined Sany early the following year.

Liebherr GB managing director Richard Everist said: “Lyle is well known to many of our customers in Scotland and he is very much looking forward to meeting them again and promoting the Liebherr brand. We are delighted to welcome him to the team."
