JLG adds to product management team

JLG has appointed Bob Begley as director of product management for scissor, vertical and low-level work platforms, with responsibility for the company's multi-generational product plan as well as leading its market facing strategies.

Bob Begley

Begley joins JLG from Blaw-Knox Construction Equipment where he has been director of aftermarket business for the past year and a half. He started out in 1989 as a nuclear technician in the US Navy, leaving after six years to join Ingersoll Rand, initially as a test engineer. Over the following 10 years he held a number of engineering, training and project management roles culminating as a global product manager. In 2008 he left the company for Volvo Construction Equipment where he was appointed as a product planning manager. He held several posts in his 12 years with the company, the most recent being global director of business platform for the paving division. He moved to Blaw Knox at the end of 2020.

Speaking of his new role, he said: “Within the last few years, JLG has taken big leaps in the evolution of its aerial lift portfolio, incorporating exciting new design changes and introducing new specialty models, including all-electric, lightweight and indoor only options. Many of these progressive design changes were customer driven and focused on productivity. And, that work continues today.”
