Valla and Oil & Steel move closer

Manitex has merged some of the sales and customer service functions of its operations in Italy, Valla and Oil & Steel.

Oil & Steel sales director for Italy - Fulvio Frunzio - will also play a co-ordination role for Valla Cranes in Italy, Croatia, Malta and Slovenia, with the aim of developing the Valla brand in these markets in partnership with Valla regional sales manager Michele Donna.

The company has also appointed Andrea Zanella, the customer service coordinator for Oil & Steel to carry out the same functions with the Manitex Valla products.

The moves follow the recent appointment of Andrea Sella Piazza as Valla export sales manager who joined the company at the end of last year from Zoomlion where he had been tower crane sales manager since 2018. He began his career in early 2006 with tower crane manufacturer O.M.V Vicario, initially as sales manager for Italy. Six years later he was promoted to export sales looking after a diverse range of markets.

The company said: “We are confident that this new organisation, combined with the precious and crucial work already carried out by Andrea Sella Piazza will provide the company with further impetus for a new season of commercial success.”

The commercial strategy we intend to implement is quite similar to what successfully achieved for Oil&Steel, based on the peculiarities of the industrial self-propelled crane market, their range of use and its interlocutors."
