Genie adds to sales team

Genie has confirmed the appointments of François de Potter and Alessandro Ghietti as regional sales managers. The two started their employment with the company just over six months ago.

François de Potter has been appointed as territory sales manager for Eastern France - both North and South. His role will be to support rental customers as well as developing and assisting Genie dealers in the region. Based in Mallemort, France, he reports to Christophe Rousseau, Genie sales director for Southern Europe as well as North and West Africa.

François de Potter

He joins the company after six years with Mercury Marine, as a sales representative and regional sales manager. He began his career in 1998 as an overseas auditor with Gestimo leaving in 2001 for his first sales job as a zone manager with Ford dealer network Maritz. Four years later he moved to Hyundai France as a regional after sales manager, leaving for Mercury in 2015.

Alessandro Ghietti has a similar role in Italy as sales manager for Northern Italy, reporting to Marco Corradi, regional sales manager for Italy, Cyprus, Malta and West Africa. He joined the company late last year from Imer where he had been an area sales manager since 2018. He began his career as a project buyer for racing car seat and harness manufacturer Sabelt, moving to Merlo the following year to become a district manager, leaving for Imer after four years with the company.
