COO for Alta Equipment

US-based distributor Alta Equipment group has appointed Craig Brubaker as chief operating officer, a new position at the company.

Brubaker has spent his entire career at Alta, having joined the company in 1995, having trained as a mechanical engineer his roles included systems manager, rental manager, general service manager and regional operations manager, then in 2006 he was promoted to vice president, operations and in 2020 chief operating officer of the company’s material handling division. Products include Link-Belt Cranes, JLG, Gehl, JCB and Merlo telehandlers, Genie aerial lifts.

Craig Brubaker


In his new role Brubaker reports to chief executive Ryan Greenawalt and will oversee day to day operations of both material handling and construction equipment segments.

Greenawalt said: “We are pleased to announce the appointment of Craig Brubaker as chief operating officer. Craig brings a great track record of success and strong operational experience during his time at Alta. I look forward to the contributions he will continue to make as part of the Alta family.”
Brubaker added: “I am excited to step into my new role as COO and look forward to using my experience in leading Alta’s operations over the past 16 years to help build on the company’s future success and continue to drive operational improvements across the organisation.”

Alta has operated as an equipment dealership for 37 years, with a branch network that includes 60 total locations across Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Virginia and Florida.
