Hirepro Holdings UK acquires Liftright Access

Hirepro Holdings UK has acquired Liftright Access in an all share deal brokered by The Hire Exchange.

Liftright Access was established by Glynn Goodwin in 2009 as a powered access sales and service company providing a wide range of products with good after sales support. It was acquired by current owners Gary and Caroline Fleckney the following year and added a solid rental business along the way.

Based in Wilstead, Bedfordshire it serves the Bedford, Luton and Milton Keynes area and now also the surrounding counties of Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. Since the Fleckneys acquired the business, it has grown significantly as a specialist in the sale and rental of new and used aerial work platforms. It is also an associate member of the Access Alliance. The two plan to stay with the business and continue to run it.

Hirepro Holdings is owned by Roland Llewellin who also owns and manages Genpower, the Hyundai Power Products distributor for UK and Ireland. He previously built up and ran a transport and logistics business and is now looking to build a chain of independent tool and equipment rental business to supplement and add diversity to the generator business.

Llewellin speaking for Hirepro UK said: “Liftright Access ticked all the boxes for us. It is not only an excellent business in its own right but gives us a foothold in an important powered access sector. It also extends our current coverage of the central Southwest area through the Surrey Hire and Sales business, to the central /Southeast region with Liftright Access”

Gary Fleckney added: “Caroline and I are delighted to be working with Roland and Hirepro financial director Mathew Williams. The investment and resources that this team bring will certainly help us take the business to the next level.”
