New sales manager for APS
UK sales and service company Access Platform Sales (APS) has appointed Glyn Goodwin as sales manager for South East England, taking over from southern sales director Lee Louder who is retiring.
He joins the company after two and half years in a similar role with crane and access sale and rental company Hird.
Goodwin has spent his entire career in the access industry having started out in the 1980s with Instant Zip-Up, which later became UpRight UK, leaving to join AJ Access as sales manager in 2000. Five years later he moved to Genie as used equipment sales manager for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He later became a regional sales manager, taking over from John Fuller as Genie sales manager for the UK and Ireland in 2008. At the end of 2009 he set up his own sales company Liftright Access, selling the business to Garry Fleckney in 2011 in order to take up a position as used equipment sales manager for Skyjack Europe. Six years later he left the company to join Workplatform as business development, making the move to Hird in 2020.

Glyn Goodwin
Managing director Steve Couling said: "We are delighted to welcome Glyn to APS. His industry and technical knowledge is second to none. Glyn's expertise will be a huge asset for our clients, because our service is based on giving them the best long-term advice on platform investment, so they can grow successful businesses."
Goodwin added: "I'm looking forward to building APS's presence in the South East England powered access market. With high-performance brands like LGMG and Hinowa to offer, I believe there is huge potential to build market share. Access rental customers are focused, right now, on three things - performance, value, and service support, including fast order fulfilment - and APS delivers on all three.”
APS is the UK's largest independent aerial lift distributor and represents LGMG, Hinowa and BoSS in both the UK and Ireland, and the UK only for Wienold Lifte material lifts.
