Grove GMK4100L-2 for Sin Heng

Singapore rental company Sin Heng Heavy Machinery has taken delivery of a 100 tonne Grove GMK4100L-2 All Terrain crane.

The GMK4100L-2 features a 60 metre seven section main boom, topped by a 9.7 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, with an additional eight metre insert, for a maximum tip height of 89 metres. The crane carrier has an overall width of 2.55 metres, and an overall length of 11.18 metres. It can carry up to 6.8 tonnes of its 26 tonnes maximum counterweight within 12 tonne axle loads, making it a good taxi crane. While in countries where higher axle loads are permitted, it can travel with up to 21.2 tonnes, with axle loads of no more than 16.5 tonnes.
The crane also includes the latest Grove carrier cab, a fuel efficient Stage V Mercedes diesel, with ECO mode, and 100 percent HVO fuel compatibility.

Operations director C.S. Tan said: “We had good experiences with our GMK4100L, so the improved load charts of the GMK4100L-2 made it the obvious choice for expanding our fleet. We often work on jobsites where there are space constraints, so its small footprint speeds up access and setup in what could otherwise be very tricky conditions. And with its main boom giving a reach of 60 m, that’s an added advantage when we’re supporting the construction of tall buildings.”

Established in 1969, Sin Heng offers a wide range of crane and aerial lift rental, along with heavy lifting and engineering services throughout Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia and Hong Kong. It is also an appointed distributor of Kato, Kobelco and Arcomet cranes.
